The Suite Spot
Based in central London, Suite is a post-production company specialising in mainstream comedy. With programmes such as The Inbetweeners, All Star Mr & Mrs and The Omid Djalili Show under its belt, Suite has recently installed JVC’s DLA-RS10 projector into its main viewing theatre, allowing clients to approve and preview their productions.
JVC’s DLA-RS10 projector, supplied by Kaurus, breaks new ground in brightness,
contrast, colour accuracy, black levels and ease of use and is the quietest model JVC have produced. Suite’s theatre features a 7½' screen and seats ten people, and has been set up
to allow JVC’s DLA-RS10 projector to connect to the facilities HD matrix and shared Avid ISIS media SAN for approval and last minute changes, which can be made from within the
theatre.
“We opted for JVC’s projector because it’s great quality, affordable, and provides us with nice bright images,” Jim Merrett, Chief Engineer at Suite reveals. “The DLA-RS10
is also very quiet, which is good as it’s installed on the theatre ceiling - you wouldn’t even know it was there. The whole client approval process has become a lot simpler.”
Suite’s viewing theatre also features a Blu-ray player, with a 5.1 amp allowing full surround monitoring of HD projects. The JVC DLA-RS10 projector is connected via a scaler,
allowing HD material to pass straight through and SD material to be played back at 1080 50i.
